District Manager

Thea Sobkowski joined Conifer in 2011 and currently serves as a District Manager. In this role, Thea is responsible for site responsibility, oversight, and hiring efforts. Additionally, Thea enjoys mentoring and supporting her team of Community Managers. 

Thea initially joined Conifer as a Community Manager and was quickly promoted to Senior Property Manager within that same year. Thea thrived in this role until she was promoted again to Area Manager in 2019, before beginning her current role of District Manager in 2020. She is a recipient of Conifer’s Value Award, due to her esteemed skillset and Property Management expertise.  

Prior to her tenure at Conifer, Thea worked as both a Program Coordinator of Emergency Services and a Case Worker at Catholic Charities of Chemung County for a total of 8 years. 

Thea holds an Associates Degree in Human Services and is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), and Certified Financial Specialist (CFS). She gives back to her community through her volunteer work with the ARC of Chemung – an organization that provides supportive services for individuals and their families with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
