Regional Vice President, Property Management
David Jefferson joined Conifer in 2020 as Regional Vice President on our Conifer Leadership Team. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operation and profitability of a portfolio of 3,000 units in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
David has nearly 30 years of property management experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Conifer, David served the public sector as Director of Compliance and Asset Management for D.C. Housing Finance Agency, Executive Director and CEO of Rockville Housing Enterprises, Deputy Executive Director for the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis, and Director of Housing Operations for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City.
In the private sector, David served as Vice President of Operations for Edgewood Management, Vice President of Operations for A&R Management, and Regional Property Manager for Humphrey Management.
David has a Master of Divinity from Howard University, a B.A. in Business Administration from Sojourner-Douglass College, and has earned housing designations as a Tax Credit Specialist, Certified Occupancy Specialist, and Accredited Residential Manager. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland College Park’s Colvin Institute, where he teaches a graduate-level course on Affordable Housing and Asset Management.
