Director, Acquisitions
Ari Shachter joined Conifer in 2023 and currently serves as Director of Acquisitions. In this role, Ari manages our affordable housing acquisition process, from deal sourcing through closing.
Throughout his career, Ari has closed on over 1,400 units of affordable housing as the GP/Developer, LP Investor, and Lender. Prior to joining Conifer, Ari most recently served as an Associate Developer at Pennrose, where he developed affordable housing for the company’s New York region. Prior to that, Ari served as AVP of Underwriting at Regions Affordable Housing (Regions Bank), a LIHTC syndicator and direct investor. Ari has held positions at multiple other respected organizations, including KPMG, Orchard Principals, and PWC.
Ari holds an M.S. in Real Estate Finance & Investments from New York University as well as an M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from Yeshiva University. In his spare time, Ari is an active volunteer at a local organization that supports families and children battling cancer.
