Director, Maintenance, Facilities + Procurement
Alan Mileti joined Conifer in 2021 as Director, Maintenance, Facilities, + Procurement. In this role, Alan is responsible for overseeing and streamlining maintenance procedures, supporting and incentivizing maintenance staff, capital planning and process development, and improving procurement practices to align with portfolio growth and needs.
During his time at Conifer thus far, Alan was able to incorporate Conifer as a National Key Account for the Edison Electric Institute and has worked to develop creative staffing models. He also leads Maintenance Mentor meetings, intending to improve the overall satisfaction of maintenance employees. Alan was selected as a panelist at National Housing & Rehabilitation Association’s Unmute the Mic Town Hall (2021), where he spoke on energy efficiency and electrification.
Prior to Conifer, Alan served as the Director of Capital Planning, Energy, & Maintenance for National Church Residences for nearly 10 years. During this time, he played a critical role in growing their portfolio from 18,000 to 26,000+ units, as well as implementing robust maintenance systems through the use of technology to track and drive performance. Through training and program development, Alan contributed to significant improvement of REAC inspection scores and oversaw a wide variety of construction refinances and rehabs totaling over $50 million and generating over $20 million in revenue. His energy efficiency efforts resulted in $500K in annual savings across the portfolio.
Alan graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts and a minor in Statistics. He is an active member of the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA), the Network for Energy, Water, and Health in Affordable Buildings (NEWHAB), and the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). In his spare time, Alan volunteers with various organizations around the holiday season to provide families in need with food, clothing, and toys, as well as other philanthropic events throughout the year.
