On Saturday, May 31st Team Conifer attended The Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong’s 19th annual Stroll for Strong Kids Walk and 5K Run. Close to 10,000 supporters filled the Genesee Valley Park and raised more than $440,000, celebrating patients, families, faculty, staff and the new children’s hospital!
Conifer has been supporting The Stroll since 2006 and has risen over $32,000 for the Hospital. “During the last nine years of my committee participation, Stroll Day, each year, never ceases to amaze me. It’s a lot of work preparing for the event and our committee has remained pretty consistent, so the day runs unbelievably smooth. The morning of the event, all you see is a sea of colors representing all the teams in their shirts. You see the smiling faces of excitement for what’s about to come and you hear the stories the families are willing to share about their experiences at GCHaS with their graduates, but also those that have gone on to heaven. I feel blessed to be a part of this. Thank you to our Conifer Family for opening your hearts and your wallets year after year for this amazing facility we are blessed to have right here in our back yard,” said Barbara Clabeaux, Senior Finance Coordinator.
We would like to extend our love and support to Bailey Tomas, a 7 year old girl who is scheduled to have her second open heart surgery later this month. Her mother, Bambi, is a community manager at two of our properties. The Conifer family will be thinking of Bailey and her family while they are in the good hands of the doctors at the GCHaS.
