Eighteen of our Conifer Communities in New Jersey have been recognized by The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA). The Excellence Award is presented to the most outstanding housing projects and partnerships that strengthen the vitality of communities, contribute to economic growth and demonstrate the potential to have a lasting impact throughout New Jersey.
The recognized Conifer Communities were Millstream Apartments, Tamarack Apartments, Ferry Manor, Ferry Landing, Gateway Village at Somerdale, Sharp Road Apartments, Medford Senior Housing, Revere Run Apartments, White Oak at Mantua, Linden Lake Senior Housing, Willow Point at Vista Center, Westlake Mews, Middletown I, Middletown II, AHEPA, Leland Gardens, Conifer Village at Cape May and Conifer Village at Deptford.
“They are excellent role models of affordable and supportive housing, and economic development partnerships from across the State, which add value to our communities,” said New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Commissioner Richard E. Constable, III, who also serves as Chairman of the HMFA.
NJHMFA is dedicated to increasing the availability of and accessibility to quality, affordable housing to families in New Jersey. They work with traditional affordable housing developments for New Jersey’s most needy families as well as first-time homebuyers, senior citizens and/or the disabled in our special needs communities. NJHMFA’s mission is to create and provide quality housing that is affordable to New Jersey residents, to ensure that their investments leverage existing community resources and to enhance market value and community well-being.
