“The Market Apartments at Corpus Christi, a $12 million joint venture between Conifer Realty LLC and ISLA Housing and Development Corp., officially opened Thursday.
The project is located in the city’s historic Market Neighborhood, by the Auditorium Theatre, Main Street Armory and the Neighborhood of the Arts. It was created at the site of the former Corpus Christi school on East Main Street.
The project focused on creating a live, work and create space for local artists. It consists of more than 40 one- and two-bedroom apartments, artist space and a fitness center.
Those in attendance included Andrew Crossed, Conifer’s executive vice president; Lisa Kaseman, Conifer’s project director; James Rubin, commissioner of New York State Homes and Community Renewal; and Baye Muhammad, Rochester’s commissioner of neighborhood and business development.
Founded in 1975, Conifer has some 13,000 residential units at 199 properties, plus 20 properties—with a total of some 1,320 units—under construction.”
